With decades of experience in associations, Phil identifies volunteer recruitment as a significant challenge for association, mainly due to a lack of time or decreased interest post-pandemic. He talks about developing systems that spoon-feed volunteers with clear expectations for the time involved. Branding matters too – serving on a committee may overwhelm some, but a working group sounds doable.
