With any merger comes vulnerability, newness and uncertainty, which is why embracing the change is the name of the game. Our new association emerged from two others, and our transition not only meant merging two staffs, but bringing in new employees too.
We found that one of the biggest changes was integrating and adapting to new technologies together. Our association adopted a new AMS, LMS and website – which are all core association functions – so our entire team had new processes to learn and become familiar with. When merging staffs, and technology, be open to new ideas, set goals and communicate.
