Taking the Lead on Public Affairs: Q&A with AHC’s Julie Broadway

by The 100 Companies

Representing the entire equine industry, the American Horse Council (AHC)’s members come from a cross-section of industries and backgrounds. In this issue, Julie Broadway, CAE, President and CEO of the AHC, shares how the organization leads on a broad range of public affairs issues.

The AHC joined with sports industry partners to develop a PSA encouraging COVID-19 vaccinations to help re-open shuttered arenas and venues. The association also hosts a youth fly-in to connect young industry leaders with Congressional staffers. This program teaches advocacy basics and provides a platform to discuss policy issues ranging from trail maintenance to state tax law.
