Member engagement – More than just a checklist

Member engagement is at the heart of every association. We added an engagement role to our team to uncover ways to make more meaningful connections.

We asked, “How do we make people feel connected to this much bigger community?”

Many members want to be involved, but we don’t have enough volunteer positions to offer. Our engagement efforts focused on that.

We’ve created affinity groups related to our members’ passions, highlighting how those passions connect to the role of the school counselor. We want to elevate the profession and want members to know they’re not alone – that this is their home.
