NAPNAP was fortunate to receive a cooperative agreement grant from the CDC to focus on educating nurse practitioners about Lyme Disease.
To optimize this opportunity, we performed a needs assessment of our members to better understand their knowledge and behavior surrounding Lyme Disease. We then created a dedicated microsite as a resource designed by pediatric experts for pediatric practitioners, patients and families.
We also created toolkits and pocket guides for pediatric-focused APRNs to use, equipping them to successfully educate their patients and families, bringing awareness to the overall issue and truly making the most of our partnership with the CDC.
