Association boards need to be asking tough questions

by The 100 Companies

Conversations about hot-button issues are often difficult. Yet, they may have ramifications for your members and your association.

Whether or not board and staff members agree on issues such as climate change or the Constitutional validity of certain rights is not the point. What matters is how such changes and policies impact your industry and operations for your members.

Ask if there are policy recommendations the association needs to make. Are there approaches it should encourage members to take? Do the members and association have exposures that need to be addressed?

Asking hard questions now will make a difference later.
