Being a resource for your members is a cornerstone of associations. AAMFT recently released our Journal of Marital and Family Therapy’s fourth “Decade-in-Review” special issue assessing effectiveness of marriage and family therapy treatments by reviewing studies published over the past decade.
It provides a repository of research therapists can reference to improve their practices by understanding what treatments are most effective. It also identifies areas where more research is needed, which can help us focus on how the profession can grow and improve.
Creating a publicly available resource that benefits the entire profession shows strong commitment to delivering member ROI.
