The ‘No PAC Money’ Pledge: Association Impact

by

Dozens of members of Congress and presidential hopefuls have taken the “No PAC Money” pledge. Considered the most regulated form of campaign finance, association and corporate PACs are being maligned with the ills of super PACs.

Most Americans don’t know the difference between a regulated association PAC and an unchecked super PAC. But political candidates have found a winning sound bite. Building the PAC brand has never been more important for associations. Educating your audiences on the merits of the PAC has always been challenging, but this trend will require even more communication to maintain brand reputation among donors and prospects.
